Posted in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Uncategorized on May 31st, 2008

Funcom is excited to announce the launch of the Spanish community forums for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, just one week after launching the Spanish marketing site available on www.ageofconan.com.

Funcom will be launching a Spanish localized version of the highly anticipated massive online game simultaneously with the North American, English, German and French on May 20th, 2008. Launching the community efforts is an important step in that direction.

“Online games are increasing in popularity, and there is no doubt that Spain is an important and a very exciting market to operate in,” says Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. “That is why we are looking so much forward to releasing the game in Spain simultaneously with the other localized versions, and as such it is tremendously important for us to cater to the growing Age of Conan community in Spain.”

The forums will allow Age of Conan fans from all Spanish speaking regions to gather in one place where they can exchange opinions and discuss both the game and the ever popular Conan lore. A Spanish community team is standing ready to take care of and communicate with the Spanish community.

Age of Conan is consistently mentioned as one of the most anticipated PC games in development. It has received more than twenty magazine covers and more than fifteen major awards, including numerous “Best MMO of E3″ awards and the official “Best Online Game” award at the Games Convention 2007. Age of Conan is a key title in Microsoft’s Games for Windows line-up, and a showcase title for nVidia. It is one of the first massive online games ever to release in a Spanish localized version at the initial launch.

For more information on Age of Conan – either in English, German, French or Spanish – visit the official website age of conan gold at www.ageofconan.com where you also can access the respective community sites, currently available in English, German and French. How to Make Serious Lotro Gold Quickly

Posted in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Uncategorized on May 31st, 2008

This content may not be copied, reproduced or distributed.

What is the currency used in LOTRO?
Money in LOTRO comes in three denominations: Gold, Silver, and Copper.
- 100 Copper = 1 Silver
- 1,000 Silver = 1 Gold

How do I know how much lotro gold I have?
You can check how much lotro gold you have by bringing up the Character Journal panel (Pressing the C key).

Character Panel shows your available cash.

How do I make lord of the rings online gold?
You can earn money by completing quests, looting coins off humanoid enemies, selling items you loot from enemies and chests, or even by selling crafted items.

How do I know how much money I will get from a quest?
You can tell what the rewards will be given upon completion of a quest by checking your quest log (Pressing the L key).

Quest log shows the quest completion reward.

How do I craft items?
You can make items like armor, weapons, food, and many more by taking up a Crafting Vocation. For more information, consult our Basic Crafting Guide.

How do I sell items?
You can sell (and buy) items in three ways: 1) to an NPC (non-player character) vendor that may be found in towns across Middle-Earth, 2) through the Auction House, or 3) by directly trading with another player character.

How do I sell lotro items to an NPC vendor?
NPC vendors will buy practically anything of value in your inventory, including items that are bound to you (items that cannot be traded to other players).

To interact with such an NPC, simply double-click (or right-click) on him/her. This will bring up a Shop Panel. Click on the Sell tab to list all the items in your inventory that can be sold. The selling price of each item is listed next to it.

The Shopping Panel
To sell an item, simply double-click (or right-click) on its picture. The money will go to your gold-purse automatically.

The padlock next to the name of each item allows you to lock an item so you won?t accidentally sell it. Only unlocked items can be sold.

How do I buy items from a vendor?
Just click on the Buy tab and it will list all the items the vendor has. Double-click or right-click on any item to buy it.

What is the Buyback tab all about?
The Buyback tab lets you buy back the last 16 items that you sold to any vendor during the session, for the same price at which you sold it. Nifty feature in cases where you get too click-happy and sell that precious sword by mistake! Don’t lose your lotro gold by mistake.

How do I trade items with another player?
To trade with another player, select the player you want to trade with and right-click on their portrait. On the menu that is brought up, select ?Start Secure Trade?. Drag the item you wish to trade from your inventory to the Trade Window age of conan gold and complete the trade. If you wish to pay the other player, enter the amount you want to transfer in the Trade window before completing the trade.

The Auction House

Where can I find an Auction House?
There are Auction Houses in Bree-town, Michel Delving, and Thorin’s Hall.

How do I sell lotro items in the Auction House?
Double-click or right-click on an Auctioneer to bring up the Auction Panel, then click on the Post tab. Drag the item you wish to sell from your inventory into the Auction Item box. An Initial Price will be set for you by default but you can override it. You may also specify a Buyout Price. Click on Post Auction to finalize the auction.

The Auction Panel
What is a ?Kinship Only? auction?
Kinships that have reached level 4 can post auctions for their members only.

What fees do I have to pay to sell through the Auction House?
Every time you post an auction, you have to pay a Posting Fee up front. The amount depends on the duration you picked (see the info below). The percentage is applied to either the Initial Price or the Buyout Price, if you entered one. In addition to this, the Auction House also takes a 5% Auctioning Fee(lotro gold) for every sale completed.

Reputation System

* Reputation can be earned with a number of factions in the game, each of which has its own set of unlocked rewards associated with it. The main rewards are vendor items, with secondary awards including access to a Reputation Lodge, and possible access to additional quest lines or dungeon spaces.
* Each Reputation is based in a particular hub, and has a specific set of trophies and crafting recipes associated with it.
* Reputation is earned primarily through Trophy drop turn-ins from landscape mobs, Crafting turn-ins, and in some cases via kills inside instances. In the case of trophy drops and crafted items, these are converted into reputation gains via turn-in quests available at the hub representing the faction.
* The Reputation system enables players to earn positive and negative standing with races/groups/affiliations based off of both monster kills and quest completion. The factions are in Book 10 are:
o Elves of Rivendell: The Elves of Rivendell have a great many matters of concern, but the aspect that the faction itself deals with is the recent intrusion of a group of hill-men and Angmarim who claim to be ancestors of the ancient kingdom of Rhudaur, and have moved into the ruins discovered in the Trollshaws and the Misty Mountains.
+ The Elves have no interest in seeing Angmar reconstruct its corrupt proxy kingdom from the wars of old, and are working to expel these unwanted intruders from the edges of their domain.
o The Council of the North (Angmar): A small alliance of elite warriors and scholars who have taken their fight into the belly of the beast of Angmar, either out of necessity or great personal sacrifice & bravery.
+ This group is composed of rebel Angmarim Hill-men, Elves, Dwarves and Rangers. They fight not to assault Carn Dum directly, but to disrupt their war machine by launching attacks on their supply trains, gathering intelligence on their movements, and killing important personages when the opportunity arises.
o Rangers of Esteldin: The Rangers of Esteldin stand athwart the main path of the advancing armies of Angmar, as such they are constantly making sorties against the orcish forces that have invaded the Northdowns.
+ They also wish to strike further afield, at the forces encamped in Fornost, and at the staging grounds in the Eastern Sulfer Swamps, and will support adventurers and warriors who are willing to take these dreadful risks.
+ Wardens of Annúminas are a specific branch of the Rangers who have long been tasked with protecting the ruined city of Annúminas, and the tombs of their ancestors from looters, robbers and other enemies of that ilk.
+ Recently they have become overwhelmed by the influx of bandits and the intrusion age of conan gold of powerful forces backed by Angmar into the city of Annúminas itself, and they are desperate for aid from any quarter that might help them dislodge the invaders from the city they have been sworn to defend.
o The Longbeards of Thorin’s Hall have had a relatively quiet existence since the expulsion of the Dourhands from Thorin’s Hall. The recent discovery of the Dourhand’s ancient city, renamed anew Sarnur, has caused many of the Longbeards concern.
+ With the blood-price set against the Dourhands not yet repaid, the Longbeards of Thorin’s Hall are loathe to let the Dourhands begin construction on a fortified stronghold so near to their city.
o The men of Bree have recently had their peaceful existence disturbed by Black Riders, upsetting the quiet town and driving off animals. But trouble in Bree town is not the only thing that was stirred up. The captain of the Ringwraiths himself traveled to the barrow downs and began awakening things that should have remained sleeping.
* The Mathom Society (Hobbits): The Hobbits of the shire enjoy many fine leisure activities when they are not so busy eating or growing food. One such activity is the collection of Mathoms, items that hobbits have no particular use for but hold onto anyway.
o The Mathom Society are a group of hobbits dedicated to the collection of such items, and they scour the countryside in search of new items to add to their collection, when they aren’t busy planning a mathom society dinner that is!

Barter System

* Players can use certain trophy drops to “purchase” cool new items. For example, a player visits a bartering NPC and sees, through vendor style UI, that this NPC will trade goods for trophies, coin, destiny points or a combination thereof. Action picker dialogue explains where the player can find the corresponding trophies and items for barter; bartering with an NPC is gated by reputation usage restriction. If a player has no trophies needed to barter, the rewards display but are grayed out.

Exploring Middle-earth: The Silver Deep

Posted in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Uncategorized on May 31st, 2008

In the days after Thráin II left his home in the Blue Mountains for the Wilderlands, his son, the great Thorin Oakenshield, began to improve upon the halls he had built. As Thorin continued to expand his halls, perhaps in an effort to recreate one of the great dwarf-kingdoms once found beneath Ered Luin, he ordered a new hall to be delved beneath the place where the Elf-refuge of Edhelion had once stood.

The Silver Deep was never completed, however, for the dangers of the ancient relics of Edhelion were brought to Thorin’s attention by Gandalf the Grey as they prepared to begin their journey to the Shire, and thence to the Lonely Mountain age of conan gold . Thorin ordered the Silver Deep closed and sealed forever. A guard was set upon the mine, and they remained shut even after Thorin was slain in the Battle of Five Armies, and Durin’s Folk returned to their home in the Lonely Mountain far to the east.

The Silver Deep was created by the design team of The Lord of the Rings OnlineTM: Shadows of AngmarTM as part of the dwarf-hold of Thorin’s Hall in Ered Luin. Players of LOTRO will first encounter the mine in the starting instance for dwarf-characters, and later during the Elf and dwarf newbie experience. The Silver Deep holds a secret that could spell ruin for all of Eriador.
